Letter to Audiences (Jan. 2025)

Dear Reader/Subscriber,

2025 has already started and I spent several weeks writing a letter to audiences since 21 Dec. 2024.

You probably noticed that I didn't write and publish new content on both website and social media for a long time. This is because I lost the confidence (see the end⬇️ for more information).

In this letter, I shared my important history and future development plans.

From Personal Project to Group Project

From 2019 to 2025, Ken's Study Journey personal project will soon be 6 years old.

Yes. If you look at it carefully, it's my personal project where I developed everything.

I wanted to change it to a group project, but the name "Ken's Study Journey" is too personal.

To overcome this problem, I decided to create a new brand, Plandline, as a sub-brand of Ken's Study Journey.

About "Collaboration for Beginners" Scheme

It's a very hard process for me to turn my Personal Project into a Group Project.

Simply speaking, this is because nearly no one else was interested in web development. Therefore, I was addicted to my personal project from 2020 to 2024.

To overcome this problem, I proposed "Collaboration for Beginners" Scheme in mid-2023.

Regardless of the past experiences, everyone is welcome to join and learn the basics (e.g., programming, UI/UX design) like contributing to the real project.

Unfortunately, this is under trial and hence currently only eligible for Hong Kong university students.

However, you can contact me or reply to this email if interested but ineligible.

Revealing 2022 Negative Impacts

In 2022, Ken's Study Journey website underwent negative comments and (D)DoS attack, leading to "Personal Lockdown".

At the same time, many study-related websites were also affected.

This is why I lost my communication skills and confidence of using social media, along with slow thinking speed.

Until January 2025, I finally revealed this fact in the letter.
